So, May 20th came and went and nothing happened. No post, no launch, no explanation. You deserve one, so here it is.

I disappeared because I got buried. Life outside this project got loud and it ate every hour I had. I did not stop caring about it, I just stopped having time for it, and I was not going to write a fake update every week pretending otherwise.

The other half of the truth is that the platform was not finished. On May 20th it was maybe half built. I could have opened the doors anyway, taken your money and let you find the holes yourselves. A lot of people would have. I was not going to ship something that half works, and I was definitely not going to ship something insecure and hand you the bill for it later. Hosting is not the place to find out the panel was rushed.

So I kept building instead of announcing. The panel is written from scratch, the way I said it would be. Passwords are gone entirely, accounts are held by a token that only you ever see, sessions are proper server sessions, and the parts that touch your money are written to be boring and predictable rather than clever.

One thing I can actually show for the silence: we now support multiple payment methods, thanks to our partners who made that possible. That was one of the biggest complaints before, and it is handled.

I am not going to give you another date I might miss. It opens when it works properly, and not one day before that. If that costs me customers who wanted it in May, fair enough, that is the price of not shipping garbage.
